A free NHS check that takes minutes — and could catch high blood pressure before it causes harm.
High blood pressure usually has no symptoms, but it significantly raises the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney disease. Around one in four adults in the UK has high blood pressure, and many don't know it. A quick check is the only way to find out.
The free NHS blood pressure check service is available to adults aged 40 and over who haven't been diagnosed with hypertension, and to others referred by their GP. If you don't qualify for the NHS service, just ask — we can still help.
A trained member of our team measures your blood pressure using an automated cuff — it takes just a few minutes. We'll explain your reading there and then. If it's raised, we may offer 24-hour ambulatory monitoring or advise you to see your GP, and your results can be shared with your practice with your consent.
